I feel an anticipatory thrill as I contemplate our reunion embrace, a tug of devotion so deep it's like she's being handed to me for the first time all over again.
Knowing that the yearning I've felt over the last few months will melt away in that instant.
Like a child at Christmas, I am eager. Seven days to revel in our togetherness, and it's all ahead.
What was once so commonplace is now so rare...
...and therefore so much more appreciated.
Oh my goodness this made me get tears in my eyes. You have such a beautiful way of expressing yourself and it's what I really do admire most about you. Now I'm gonna call my own Mom just to tell her how much I love her :)
