...I will be in another town, 284.58 miles south of my living room.
I'll be playing with some friends named Jeanne, Mary Ann, Marilyn, Karen, and Doral in St. George, Utah. Teacher friends. Book club friends. Lifetime friends.
We're traveling to celebrate our Short Story Book Club's 25th anniversary. And even though I've only been a member for 8 of those years, I'm grateful to be included in such an amazing group of women.
That, and I'll pretty much take any chance I can get to have a good time.
We'll be seeing Les Miserables and Big River at Tuacahn, an outdoor theater. We're also going to hike to some petroglyphs.
But mostly we're going to laugh and laugh together.
I'm quite sure that I'm having a good time as we speak.
I hope your weekend is full of laughter and friendship as well.
Cheers!
Sounds wonderful Cath! Enjoy!

Catherine,
Thanks for your encouraging comments about my blog. I do love writing on a blog, even though I don't know anyone else my age blogging. I had to laugh at my dad on the phone last night. He told me he saw my blog on my nephew's computer. I never thought my dad would see it!
You are an amazing young woman, Catherine. I think you are very well-rounded and balanced as an individual. You have great insight into life and probably wouldn't have all the insight and maturity you do without going through the challenges of your childhood. You definitely came out of all the trials on top of your game.
I think we all had a wonderful time. It is refreshing to have a younger person along for the ride. You added enthusiasm and an upbeat perspective to the conversations.
Thanks again for driving. You are a good driver.
Marilyn
